Greeting Old Friends, Missing Dive Buddies
Cozumel is just a beautiful in October as it was in June! I've noticed the trees have gotten bigger. But it's just as green, humid, and Mexico!
It's comforting to be greeted by old friends and others here at the hotel that know our face. The dive business is pretty slow so they're very happy to have repeat guests. We shouldn't have to worry about "crowds" underwater!
We'll miss our dive buddies--Lynnie and Bruce--but we know that June 2010 is just around the corner. That's when we'll all be back again, and we'll be bringing Jennifer and Liz!
Pingo says they've seen Lionfish--many Lionfish--out in the reefs. Miguel says they ask the Divemasters to capture them when they see them. The Lionfish aren't native to the Carribbean and they've been eating the little bity fish. Naughty Lionfish! They're awful for the reefs but we hope to see some. Is that bad?
This should be an awesome 10 days! Eight days of diving, diving, and diving. We'll sleep some, eat, dive, relax, and have FUN! Bring on the pina coladas, margaritas, and chips and salsa!
